I’m excited to announce the long-awaited addition of three new photographic itineraries for 2018. We’ve got some GREAT new trips in the line-up and as always… more are on the way soon!
All three of these incredible adventures are based in Alaska and after much careful planning, scouting and scheming we’ve put together some great trips to ensure you get the best possible experience when you head up to the North Country!
We’ve added two new unique (and very different!) Brown Bears itineraries – both wilderness camping expeditions to the road-less Alaska Peninsula and an incredible wildlife safari through the icy waters and forested coves of Kenai Fjords National Park.
Read below for more information on each of these hand-crafted expeditions to Alaska
Join us on the journey of a lifetime this summer to photograph the majestic Brown Bears of Coastal Alaska. Coastal Brown Bears are massive with adult boars regularly reaching weights of 1200 pounds as they gorge on salmon, clams & sedges on the stunning coastline of the Alaskan Peninsula. Our trip takes us to the shores of Lake Clark National Park where we will spend several days at a beautiful beach-front camp in the wilderness amongst the great bears. Lake Clark National Park is remote and about 150 air miles from Anchorage. There are no roads leading into the park and the only access is by bush-plane! More Info
Step aboard and join us this summer for the photography safari of a lifetime through the icy waters, forested coves and stunning alpine scenery of Kenai Fjords National Park. A cornucopia of isolated wilderness, Kenai Fjords is a landscape teeming with wildlife – and due to it’s rugged terrain is largely only accessible by boat.
Each day we board our specially designated photography vessel and head out into the mysterious bays and coves of Kenai Fjords National Park. The wildlife photography in Kenai Fjords is second to none and we have chosen this time of year to explore these waters for several reasons. For one – it is the best time for whales. Common species include Humpback Whales and Orcas. We will also have the opportunity to photograph Seals, Sea Lions and Sea Otters as well as a variety of sea birds including Bald Eagles, Horned Puffins, Kittiwakes and more. Wildlife is everywhere on this journey – and not just marine wildlife. We regularly see Bears and Mountains Goats high on the mountain cliffs and down on one of the many isolated beaches – just beckoning to be explored. More Info
