Open Enrollment Begins Monday

Adobe Photoshop is without a doubt the most powerful post-processing tool for nature photographers.

With that power, however, comes complexity. It’s just not all that intuitive, even compared to other post-processing software options. And this scares folks away.

It shouldn’t, though. Don’t let it. It’s your choice to grab this tool and make it work for you. Let Backcountry Journeys help!

What Will You Get?
Our Adobe Photoshop: Beginner to Intermediate course begins Monday, June 22nd, and will run in our new and innovating format through July 17th, 2020. Sound like something for you? Registration opens Monday, June 15thUnlock the power of Photoshop.

Our course will break down key features of the program in a simple, easy to understand way while highlighting the best practices for nature photography. Upon completion, you will have new skills and the confidence to apply those learned techniques to your own photography.

Why Do You Need Us?
Photoshop, when you first come upon it, resembles the cockpit dashboard of a 747 aircraft. Literally thousands of switches, buttons, and features. The key is creating a workflow and understanding which of those tools you actually need. What we’ll do for you is to separate the noise from the most important editing processes for nature photography, and show you how to develop an efficient workflow.

Instruction will consist of slide shows, hands-on use of the program, and case studies in which participants will have to perform certain Photoshop processes, with topics laid out in a simple to understand way and focus on the most efficient workflow in the application.

“I attended the Lightroom course and loved it! Matt Meisenheimer (the instructor) is so knowledgeable about Lightroom/Photoshop. His presentation and slides were very helpful to explain what every button, slide, and brush can do. It was so helpful to get great explanations and hands-on experience. I feel much more confident using Lightroom, and my photos are looking much better because of this class. I just entered my first photography contest because of my confidence after this class. I can’t thank Backcountry Journeys enough for putting this together! I highly recommend attending a Lightroom/Photoshop class when it is offered.”
