Backcountry Journeys is now on YouTube, and we hope that you’re so excited by this announcement that you’ll immediately head over to YouTube and subscribe to our channel. If you do, you’ll have access to all of the exciting and educational video content there now, and be first in line to know about all future content that is COMING SOON.
Each time you’ve registered for a Backcountry Journeys Tour & Workshop you’ve expressed trust in us not only with your vacation but also with your photographic educational development. We are honored to play a role, and want to give you more!
As the coronavirus has interrupted our travels, we’ve looked for ways to provide to you, our guests, valuable photography instruction so that your educational journey can continue, even if we aren’t able to photograph together in the field.
Be it through our series of free webinars, or our online courses such as our Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop courses, we’ve continued to look at the best ways to bring to you what we have to offer. Enter another ‘new’ (to us – its certainly not new) platform.
How does all this YouTube stuff work, you ask? Let’s take a look at some common questions that should make it easy for you to head on over and subscribe:
What is a YouTube Channel?
A YouTube channel is essentially just a page where we can store all of our videos in one place, making them easily accessible for you the viewer. You can learn about us, catch our latest videos and also watch older videos. Think of the YouTube channel as a mini homepage, of sorts.
Why Should You Subscribe?
The main reason you might subscribe to our YouTube channel is that you like the videos we’ve created, and you think that you’ll likely want to see more in the future. Subscribing is really no different than following someone on Instagram, or creating a ‘Favorite,’ or a ‘Bookmark.’
Even if you don’t think that you’ll visit the YouTube channel often, subscribing is also a show of support, or a “keep up the good work” sort of thumbs up for us! And the best part? It costs nothing and is completely unintrusive.
How Do I Subscribe?
You do not need any sort of special YouTube account to subscribe to a YouTube channel. This is a common misconception. You’ll need only two things before being able to subscribe to the BCJ YouTube page, and you likely have both already. You’ll need a Google account and also the ability to press a button. If you use Gmail or a google calendar, or if you’ve downloaded an app to an android device, you already have that Google account. Then, its as easy as clicking ‘SUBSCRIBE’.
What Happens When I subscribe?
Once you subscribe, the BCJ channel will appear in a Subscription List in the left-hand column of your screen when you visit youtube.com. Any time that you are interested in watching video content produced by Backcountry Journeys, head over to YouTube to see what is new and watch away. That is all that happens when you subscribe.
What You’ll Find
Instructional video Content like this:
And Backcountry Journeys Trip Highlights, such as this:
As of today the Backcountry Journeys YouTube Channel will feature our complete catalog of webinars. You’ll be able to view any video that you may have missed, would like to watch again, or would like to share with a friend. Within these webinars, we’ll touch on a variety of photography related topics. You’ll also be able to leave comments and ask questions.
But that is not all!
Fantastic new content is in the works and will be uploaded to the BCJ YouTube Channel as it is produced. Subscribers will be the first to know when new content hits.
What does NOT happen?
You won’t be spammed with emails and notifications from YouTube about any subscribed pages. And you can unsubscribe at any point simply by clicking ‘unsubscribe.’
