This is especially true when I’m traveling or leading workshops. I want to come home with an expansive and diverse portfolio.

There aren’t too many places in North America that offer the sheer diversity of interesting landscapes that Southern California delivers to photographers on a regular basis. Within the span of a single road trip, you can move from scorching desert salt flats to jagged alpine peaks, from ancient bristlecone pine forests to towering granite walls glowing in soft alpenglow. It’s a region where extremes collide in spectacular fashion, creating endless opportunities for creative exploration behind the camera.
