How does all this YouTube stuff work, you ask? Let’s take a look at some common questions that should make it easy for you to head on over and subscribe: 

What is a YouTube Channel?
A YouTube channel is essentially just a page where we can store all of our videos in one place, making them easily accessible for you the viewer. You can learn about us, catch our latest videos and also watch older videos. Think of the YouTube channel as a mini homepage, of sorts. 

Why Should You Subscribe?
The main reason you might subscribe to our YouTube channel is that you like the videos we’ve created, and you think that you’ll likely want to see more in the future. Subscribing is really no different than following someone on Instagram, or creating a ‘Favorite,’ or a ‘Bookmark.’ 

Even if you don’t think that you’ll visit the YouTube channel often, subscribing is also a show of support, or a “keep up the good work” sort of thumbs up for us! And the best part? It costs nothing and is completely unintrusive. 

How Do I Subscribe?
You do not need any sort of special YouTube account to subscribe to a YouTube channel. This is a common misconception. You’ll need only two things before being able to subscribe to the BCJ YouTube page, and you likely have both already. You’ll need a Google account and also the ability to press a button. If you use Gmail or a google calendar, or if you’ve downloaded an app to an android device, you already have that Google account. Then, its as easy as clicking ‘SUBSCRIBE’. 

What Happens When I subscribe?
Once you subscribe, the BCJ channel will appear in a Subscription List in the left-hand column of your screen when you visit youtube.com. Any time that you are interested in watching video content produced by Backcountry Journeys, head over to YouTube to see what is new and watch away. That is all that happens when you subscribe.
