Day 1 (Travel Day) (D)
Arrive to Kilimanjaro International Airport in Tanzania. After clearing customs, you will be met by our tour representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Arusha is a vibrant city known for its diverse cultures, stunning natural beauty, and rich history as the starting point for many safari expeditions in the Serengeti and Mount Kilimanjaro. It offers a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation, with bustling markets, lush gardens, and cultural landmarks to explore. There will be an orientation and welcome dinner this evening.
Days 2 - 3 (B,L,D)
We will depart for the Ngorongoro Crater and drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The next two days you'll discover the awe-inspiring Ngorongoro Crater, a 100 square mile caldera teeming with over 25,000 large mammals and 500 bird species, where you can witness lions, elephants, and zebras roam freely in their natural habitat at over 2,000 feet deep - a breathtaking natural wonder that will leave you speechless.
Days 4 - 5 (B,L,D)
Our next destination is world famous Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is the most famous wildlife reserve in the world. The park is known for its expansive savannas, dotted with acacia trees, and its abundant wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras, and wildebeests.
Our camp will be in the heart of the Great Migration, one of the largest mammal migrations in the world, in which millions of wildebeests, zebras, and other animals move in search of fresh grazing grounds. We'll spend the next two days on wildlife safaris in the central Serengeti. Expect amazing wildlife encounters!
Days 6 - 10 (B,L,D)
Our final camp is located in the northern Serengeti, close to the banks of the Mara River. Get ready for the greatest show on earth - the Mara River Crossing! These days will be dedicated to chasing the migrating herds as they cross the Mara River.
Day 11 (B)
There will be a morning safari before we transfer to a local airstrip for flights back to Arusha and transfers to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for departure flights. Return flights can be booked any time after 5 pm local time.
