A total solar eclipse occurs when the moon completely covers the sun, casting its shadow across the Earth and briefly turning day into night. During totality, the sun’s outer atmosphere, the corona, becomes visible, forming a luminous halo around the darkened disk of the moon. This fleeting moment is one of the most dramatic sights in nature and offers a rare opportunity to photograph the sun in a way that can only be experienced along the narrow path of totality. In 2027, Morocco sits directly beneath this path, creating an exceptional setting for capturing the event.

Our journey begins in Tangier, a centuries old crossroads where Africa meets the Mediterranean. Here, the streets come alive with contrast, bold shadows in the tight alleys of the medina, vibrant markets, and architecture shaped by Tangier’s international past. We’ll spend time exploring and scouting compositions among the town’s blue washed alleyways and the rugged Rif Mountains that surround it.
