Get ready for a journey through one of the most remote and beautiful natural landscapes in America - Big Bend National Park. This hidden gem is a photographer's dream, with towering mountains, meandering rivers, and sprawling deserts all within reach.
Join us for an unforgettable photography tour where you'll capture the magic of Big Bend through your lens. Our expert guides will take you to the best locations, including Santa Elena Canyon, the Chisos Mountains, and the Rio Grande River. From the top of Emory Peak to the depths of Boquillas Canyon, you'll witness the true beauty of Texas' best-kept secret.
We'll spend our days exploring the vast wilderness, searching for the perfect shot. You'll capture the glowing hues of a desert sunset, the rugged beauty of the Chihuahuan Desert, and the crystal-clear waters of the Rio Grande. Our nights will be spent under a blanket of stars, providing the perfect opportunity to capture the beauty of the Milky Way galaxy.
You'll have plenty of opportunities to work with our experienced instructors one-on-one, as well as learn from your fellow photographers in a collaborative and supportive environment.
At the end of our workshop, you'll leave with a portfolio of stunning images that showcase the beauty of Big Bend National Park.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 (Travel Day) (D)
Plan to arrive in El Paso, Texas for orientation and dinner on day one. We’ll do introductions, discuss logistics for the week, and eat dinner. We’ll depart El Paso for Big Bend National Park early the next morning.
Please note: It is a 6 hour drive from El Paso, TX to Big Bend National Park.
Days 2 - 5 (B,L,D)
We’ll spend the next few days photographing Big Bend National Park. We will be staying in between the state and national parks, which gives us great access to many photography locations. A typical day will include photographing sunrise, doing some short hikes in the desert, searching for wildlife, doing some post-processing, and capturing sunset at the end of the day. If conditions permit, we may even do some astrophotography. These will be action-packed days. There is a ton to photograph around the park and we want to make it to all the best spots!
Day 6 (B)
On the morning of day six, we’ll enjoy one more sunrise in the park. Afterwards, we’ll have breakfast as a group and head back to El Paso, TX (6 hour drive) for evening flights.
Please note that the exact sequence of the itineraries on all photography trips will be based on weather and lighting conditions. The goal on these trips is to make sure we are at the right place at the right time for the perfect light on our subjects. Also, itineraries can change for a variety of other circumstances including floods, forest fires, national park closures, road closures, and more. Due to the nature of wildlife and landscape photography, we do not guarantee any specific sightings or specific compositions.
