Arrive in Knoxville, TN. Our first night will include an orientation and welcome dinner with the group.
Day 2 (B,L,D)
We'll wake up early for an invigorating drive into the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains, which includes over 100 waterfalls and 2,000 miles of streams and cascades. With mist swirling around us, we'll embark on a picturesque photography tour that takes us to some of the most stunning waterfalls in the region. Along the way, we'll witness a breathtaking array of wildflowers that paint the landscape with vibrant hues. Keep your camera handy, as you never know what kind of wildlife you'll come across, including black bears, deer, and elk. We'll spend the next 3 nights lodged in Gatlinburg, which gives us great access to all the best spots in Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
Day 3 (B,L,D)
After a beautiful sunrise, overlooking the rolling hills of the Smoky Mountains, we'll once again focus on waterfalls and wildflowers. We'll spend the day photographing one of the most iconic parts of spring in the Smoky Mountains: the wildflowers. With over 1,500 types of flowering plants, more than any other national park in the country, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a paradise for nature lovers and photographers alike. As the sun begins to set and light becomes less harsh, we'll once again venture into the valley to seek out some beautiful cascades with spring green foliage. A beautiful sunset is in store to cap the day off!
Day 4 (B,L,D)
As the sun rises over the majestic Smoky Mountains, we'll begin another day of exploring the waterfalls and vibrant wildflowers of this region. We'll look for blooming rhodendron and keep our eye out for anything else blooming along the way. We'll visit some special waterfalls today, which allow for amazing spring compositions....and who knows maybe we'll see a black bear. As the day draws to a close, we'll journey to the mountains for a colorful sunset as the day comes to an end.
Day 5 (B)
Our final morning will be spent exploring the Blue Ridge Mountains, which also feature vibrant wildflower blooms and waterfalls. This region offers even more waterfalls that we can add to our list for the trip. We'll spend the morning photographing, before returning to Knoxville.
