Arrive to Glasgow, Scotland at any time and transfer to our arrival hotel.
Day 2 (B, L, D)
Our journey begins at 11:00 am with an orientation and introduction at our arrival hotel. A short drive will soon lead us to our first taste of Scottish Highlands. As we trace the shores of Loch Lomond and venture deeper into the Scottish mountains, prepare your camera for beautiful landscapes. Our ultimate haven for today is Glencoe, a realm of awe-inspiring vistas. We'll take time to capture the enchanting scenes that unfold along the way. Nestled within a scenic valley, our hotel awaits as our home for the next three nights.
Day 3 (B, L, D)
An exquisite morning awaits! If conditions permit, we'll chase the dawn light as it graces the mountain summits at golden hour. Afterwards, a lavish Scottish breakfast awaits, invigorating us for the day's endeavors. Today, we'll continue to explore Glencoe's treasures. From cascading waterfalls to mountains, rustic cottages to storied castles, tranquil lochs to the enigmatic red deer in their rutting season—we'll capture everything that the area has to offer!
Day 4 (B, L, D)
Today's agenda is twofold: a meticulous exploration of overlooked gems from the prior day, coupled with a true Scottish experience - a venture into the realm of whisky craftsmanship. A distillery tour will unveil the intricate process behind the famous malt, and many photo opportunities exist. A fantastic dinner will conclude our full day of landscapes, castles, and a fabled distillery!
Day 5 (B,L,D)
We'll enjoy another hearty breakfast before starting our travels to the famous Isle of Skye. We'll stop to photograph landscapes, castles, and boat wrecks along the way. Our next four nights will be spent on Skye, allowing us ample time to capture all of the world-class landscapes in the area.
Days 6 - 8 (B,L,D)
Over the course of the next three days, Isle of Skye will unveil its treasures—towering mountains, pristine beaches, cascading waterfalls, steadfast lighthouses, storied castles, serene churches, untamed coastlines, and undulating hills. Your guides, attuned to the whims of the weather, will craft a daily schedule that weaves these elements seamlessly together. Each day brings new locations, from the Old Man of Storr to The Quiraing, Syke hosts some of the best photo opportunities in all of Scotland.
Day 9 (B,L,D)
As dawn's glow breaks, we embark on our journey back to Glasgow, retracing our footsteps yet visiting some new locations in the everchanging Scottish light. Impromptu stops promise unexpected delights as our lenses capture fleeting moments anew. A bittersweet farewell dinner in Glasgow awaits, as we conclude our memory cards and hearts full with amazing experiences. Most flights back to US are in the morning and early afternoon, thus a hotel room is included this evening.
Day 10 (Travel Day)
Flights home can be booked at any time on Day 10.
This trip is rated Level 2.
In the Glencoe area, most locations are within a short 5-minute walk from the road, making them easily accessible. However, the terrain can be uneven and boggy, so sturdy footwear is highly recommended.
On the Isle of Skye, we'll take on hikes ranging from 30 minutes to an hour, with some elevation gain. These hikes lead to incredible vantage points, making the effort worthwhile. Get ready to experience breathtaking waterfalls, accessed by steep, narrow trails leading to the base. These paths can be challenging, with uneven footing and some exposure along narrow ledges. If you're uncomfortable with heights or steep inclines, it's good to be aware of this beforehand.
There will be 3–4 guides on this trip and multiple vehicles available if an alternative is needed. We encourage everyone to be prepared for walking to make the most of these fantastic locations.
