Nestled in the heart of Wyoming, Grand Teton National Park is one of the most breathtaking landscapes in America. But it's not just the iconic mountain peaks that make this place special – it's the magnificent wildlife that call this park home as well.
During our Bull Moose Workshop, we'll focus on capturing the beauty and majesty of the park's moose population. In early winter, the moose rut is coming to an end, but the bulls retain their impressive antlers, making this an incredible time to see them congregating in sage fields, offering up unique and awe-inspiring photo opportunities. Imagine capturing these magnificent creatures in all their glory, framed by the dramatic backdrop of the Teton Range.
Of course, Grand Teton National Park offers more than just moose sightings. Nearby, the famous National Elk Refuge offers opportunities to observe and photograph iconic species such as elk, bison, wolves, Trumpeter Swans, Bald Eagles, and bighorn sheep. Winter is the perfect time to see and photograph these magnificent creatures, as the elk herds migrate down from the mountains to spend the winter congregated in the open sage flats.
Staying in the charming cowboy town of Jackson, Wyoming, we'll have easy access to the park and refuge. Jackson is adjacent to both Grand Teton National Park and the National Elk Refuge, making it the perfect home base for our adventure.
