Join us on a spectacular journey to the world's best landscape photography destination - Patagonia's Fitz Roy & Cerro Torre! Our exclusive outfitted camping workshop focuses on the iconic peaks of Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre, offering you the chance to capture some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world during the vibrant fall season. With private outfitted camps as your base, you'll experience the perfect blend of comfort and wilderness. We have spent considerable time photographing and scouting these areas, and we're proud to bring you the best itinerary and trip that focuses on Argentina's beautiful Patagonia region.
Nestled in the Argentine Patagonia, El Chaltén is a paradise for photographers and outdoor enthusiasts. Known as the trekking capital of Argentina, this region boasts some of the most spectacular mountain scenery in the world. The towering peaks of Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre dominate the skyline, providing a dramatic backdrop for your photography journey.
Fitz Roy, with its sharp, jagged silhouette, is renowned for its stunning sunrise and sunset views, casting a golden glow on its granite faces. Cerro Torre, with its needle-like spire, often shrouded in clouds, adds an element of mystery and awe to the landscape. The fall season brings an explosion of color, with the lenga forests turning brilliant shades of red, orange, and yellow, creating a photographer's dream.
Why Choose This Trip?
Unlike other tours that cram both Torres del Paine in Chile and El Chaltén into a rushed itinerary, our trip focuses exclusively on the El Chaltén area. This allows for ample time to explore and photograph these iconic peaks, ensuring you have the best weather conditions and light for your images. Our extensive scouting in the area has proven this approach successful, giving you the best chance to capture stunning photographs without the pressure of a tight schedule.
Camping in Comfort:
This is an outfitted camping trip, but our private camps are designed for comfort and convenience. Our two camps are located in the heart of the best photo ops in the region. We provide all camping equipment and meals, including spacious tents with comfortable mattresses, an outhouse with toilet and wash area, and a beautiful communal area inside a dome. Our glamping setup ensures you can relax and recharge after a day of hiking and shooting, making the most of your time in the backcountry.
At camps there is no way to charge camera batteries so make sure you bring enough. We will have one day in the middle of the trip back in town where we can charge. We also have had a good experience charging batteries with solar chargers and battery packs. This usually will only work for a battery or two, but it is an option if your camera is chargeable via USB or USB-C. Please inquire for more information.
