Explore the last frontier of South America, where the wild winds of Patagonia meet the towering peaks of the Andes, and pumas roam free. Join us on this 10-day adventure to Torres del Paine in Chile, a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve and one of the most iconic national parks in the world.
Our itinerary is designed to maximize your chances of capturing the essence of Patagonia through your lens. We offer the only hybrid photography itinerary where landscape AND wildlife photography are our focus during the workshop.
The journey begins in Punta Arenas, the southernmost city in the world, where we'll settle into a historic hotel and prepare for an epic Patagonia expedition. From there, we travel to Torres del Paine for 9 days of photography before returning to Punta Arenas.
The park's centerpiece is the Paine Massif, a striking granite range that rises abruptly from the flat Patagonian steppe and towers over the surrounding valleys and glaciers. Its peaks, such as the Cuernos del Paine and the Torres del Paine, have become symbols of Patagonia and landmarks for adventurous hikers and photographers alike. We'll capture the landscape in dramatic light, hike to gorgeous overlooks, and take a boat tour to the face of Grey Glacier.
Another highlight of our Patagonia: Torres del Paine & Pumas photography workshop is the opportunity to observe and photograph one of the most elusive and awe-inspiring predators in the world: the puma.
Patagonia is home to one of the densest populations of pumas in South America, and our workshop is designed to give you the best chance of encountering them. We'll spend several days focused on pumas, and puma trackers will lead us on hikes and drives to track and photograph these magnificent cats.
This workshop is not just a photography trip. It's a journey of discovery, a celebration of nature, and a tribute to the beauty and diversity of Patagonia. It's a chance to immerse yourself in a wild and remote corner of the world, to push your photography limits, and to create lasting memories.
Join us on this adventure of a lifetime and capture Patagonia, one of the most beautiful destinations on Earth.
Note: This is rated a Fitness Level 2 trip. We will be doing hikes around 2-4 miles round trip on a few days of the landscape portion, and puma tracking may require walking off-trail over hilly terrain for distances of 2-4 miles round trip to track a cat. We use 4x4 vehicles for tracking and can get close to pumas, but every encounter is different, and we may have to do some hiking for the best photography.
