Transportation to arrival hotel (Note: Due to lodging logistics with the eclipse, we chose a 4-star hotel about 15 minutes from the AUS airport. Thus, there is no airport shuttle. Day 1 (D)
Arrive in Austin, Texas and check into our beautiful hotel. We'll meet at 5:00 pm for orientation and dinner.
Day 2 (B,L,D)
We'll head out to the Texas Hill Country, one of the best places in the state for spring wildflowers. Your guide will take you to the best locations for photographing bluebonnets and other wildflowers during the golden hour light. We'll have a meeting space in the afternoon to discuss the eclipse and how to prepare for photographing it. In the evening, we'll enjoy a group dinner and photograph sunset at a nearby location.
Day 3 (B,L,D)
The day of the solar eclipse has finally arrived! We'll wake up early and head to our viewing location, where we'll witness and photograph the awe-inspiring totality of the solar eclipse. Your guide will be on hand to offer tips and techniques for capturing this once-in-a-lifetime event through your lens. After the eclipse, we'll have the opportunity to photograph the Texas Hill Country once again during the beautiful sunset light. We'll end the day with a celebratory group dinner.
Day 4 (B)
We'll spend our final morning together exploring the beautiful natural sights around Austin, including scenic overlooks and more wildflowers. After brunch, we'll say our goodbyes and transfer to the airport for departure.
