Panasonic has confirmed that it will announce its newest full-frame mirrorless camera through an online launch event on September 2nd. This is confirmed.
And now for the rumor. The LUMIX S5 camera is the supposed entry-level body that will be announced.
“Panasonic is committed to meeting the passionate demands of all creators through its LUMIX brand,” Panasonic said in a recent release. “the new LUMIX S5 is one of the embodiments of this commitment.”
This camera should offer a bunch of the same features of its higher-end counterparts, the S1, the S1R, and the S1H, but with a smaller body and price tag. If this is true, look for a cost of under $2,000.
