To ensure an unparalleled experience, our workshop combines the expertise of our exceptional photo guides with the intimate knowledge of a local Italian guide, both masters of their craft and intimately acquainted with the region. Our adventure begins in famous Venice, Italy where we'll meet before moving on to the enchanting alpine town of Cortina d'Ampezzo, a perfect base for exploring the heart of the Dolomites. From there, we'll embark on a series of shoots that will take us to the most breathtaking locales in the region. Throughout the workshop, we have thoughtfully selected a range of comfortable lodges in close proximity to the best locations in the Dolomites. This allows us the flexibility to adapt to the ever-changing conditions and maximize our photographic opportunities. Unlike rustic rifugios, our accommodations provide luxury but also flexibility to be in the best place at the best time.

Day 1 (Travel Day)
Arrive to Venice, Italy. You'll have a room reserved at a hotel adjacent to the airport.
Day 2 (L, D)
Today, we'll meet at 10:00 am for a brief orientation in the hotel lobby and then depart for the Dolomites! We'll enjoy a group lunch in the Dolomites, check-in to our lodge, and then head out for our first of many photography outings. Be prepared to be amazed by the Italian Alps!
Day 3 - 8 (B,L,D)
Over the course of our trip, we'll stay at a few beautiful lodges within the Dolomites. Each day, we'll chase the light at sunrise and sunset, and be able to choose from many great locations. During the day, we'll venture on some hikes and review images. Expect action-packed days with spectacular sights and photography.

Day 9 (B)
We'll shoot a final sunrise in the morning before having breakfast and starting our travels back to Venice. Flights home can be booked around 3 pm or after.
This is a Level 2 trip. We will be focusing on iconic shooting locations throughout the Dolomites, and none of these locations can be shot from the roadside. Fortunately, this means we'll get the chance to see nature in all its glory by hiking an average of 2-3 miles of round-trip hiking per day. Most of our hiking will be 10-15 minutes each direction on well-established trails with 0-500 feet in elevation gain, and our longest hike will require approximately 20-30 minutes.

Please note that the exact sequence of the itineraries on all photography trips will be based on weather and lighting conditions. The goal on these trips is to make sure we are at the right place at the right time for the perfect light on our subjects. Also, itineraries can change for a variety of other circumstances including floods, forest fires, national park closures, road closures, and more. Due to the nature of wildlife and landscape photography, we do not guarantee any specific sightings or specific compositions.
